Member of the National Development Planning Expert Commit tee, the second strategic emerging industry development expert advisory committee and the national intellectual property expert advisory committee, and Chairman of the China Society for Science and Technology Policy. He has been engaged in innovation development policy research for a long time, publishing series of reports such as National Innovation Development Report, China Regional Innovation Development Report and China Manufacturing Innovation Development Report, as well as series of reports on Technology Foresight 2035 in six industries. He has also supported the completion of the planning and research preparation of national independent innovation capacity-building, and presided over the completion of the planning and research preparation of a number of national innovative cities, Guangzhou Nansha and Wuhan East Lake Science City.
