Prof. Han has been worked on deep-sea research for 28 years and has been served as the chief scientist of China ocean expeditions for 9 times to investigate the deep-sea mineral resources. She took submersible Jiaolong and dove into the Indian ocean twice to investigate the “black smoker”. So far, she has published over 100 papers on hydrothermal sulfides and marine gas hydrates as well as their associated environments.
