Prof. Zhu has long been engaged in the fundamental and application research of functional fibers, composite nanofibers, intelligent fiber materials, and organic /inorganic hybrid materials. She has edited 10 books (chapters) and published more than 500 papers. She is also the author or co-author for more than 300 National Invention Patents. She received more than 10 scientific awards, including Second Prize of National Award for Technological Inventions (2020), National Innovation Competition Award (2017), etc.
