He has long been engaged in theoretical research and engineering practice of the overall design of armoured weapons, transmission systems, and action systems. He proposed the concept and representation method of tank information power, developed the overall design theory and method of main battle tank, and realized the transformation of China’s main battle tank from mechanization to informatization. A new concept of generating hydrodynamic power with a deformable vehicle body was put forward, and the theory and method of hydrodynamic design for amphibious combat vehicles were developed, and the hydrodynamic design of amphibious combat vehicles in China was transformed from static to dynamic.
